Private offices but up barriers between creativity and getting things done.

Great move, just needs a little more space!

Re: Bullpen Case Study

Yeah, for your line of work, I think it's a great idea. It allows for quick and open communication and brainstorming. I'm curious to see how it works out.

Re: Bullpen Case Study

Thanks Wiley for the comment, that is true, newsrooms it seems are always this style. When you are in Bellingham next, be sure to come stop by the office.

Re: Bullpen Case Study

Dude that's awesome. I'd much rather work in an environment like that. That's the way we do things in my CS classes, we like to get together and work as a team on things and figure stuff out and help each other.

Re: Bullpen Case Study

Yeah...For collaboration it's hard to beat an open layout like this. From experience in the newsroom we share ideas, content, etc much better by being able to communicate quickly in a set up like this. If you like it you might try giving everyone a partition or at least some sort of personal space, best of both worlds.

Re: Bullpen Case Study

Interesting, yea we read a lot of reports about productivity etc. in regards to open offices and wanted to give it a try. Can't hurt.

Re: Bullpen Case Study

When I worked at Parker Remick, we had a set up kinda like this, but with quite a bit more space. It worked most of the time... except when people were on the phone. Otherwise, I think it was good.

Personally, I like that sort of working environment as long as I can have my back & screens facing a wall. ;-)

Re: Bullpen Case Study

I was just kidding with ya Derek.

The monitors cramped together and lack of space made me laugh at first. But being that it's your marketing, PR and interns, it's probably a good thing ;)

Re: Bullpen Case Study

wow... 5 people - 2 desks. this is... argh!

Re: Bullpen Case Study

This is just to test if it works out, we will make the accommodations a little better if we decide to go this route.

Re: Bullpen Case Study

Hmmmmmmmm ...... *Strokes chin pensively*

HAHAHAHAHAHA! good luck ;)
