There are many ways to motivate employees, many of which I'm sure you're using already. When I was a branch operator with Collegeworks Painting, my fellow managers and I used each others success to make ourselves more successful. We were able to do this because the company policy enabled us to become a close team by getting together on a regular basis to do fun activities.
So the business tip is:
Create a close work team be making sure to inject fun into the long work schedule. I often worked 70-hour work weeks and was able to get through it because I had something to look forward to every weekend. Whether it be paintballing, bar-b-q'ing or camping, the weekly activities brought the team together and refreshed us for the next work week.
